It’s
been owned and operated since 1998 by Alan and Liz Rennie, long time
breeders of the very successful Meersbrooke Clydesdale/TB x sport horses and ponies. A mix of these homebred horses/ponies,
plus others carefully selected for type and temperament, are used for the
treks. They are surefooted, kind and obedient; a pleasure for any level of
rider to enjoy.
There are treks to suit all levels of
rider, from experienced equestrians, to beginners and children. Treks on
offer are 1hr, 2hr, ˝ day, full day, overnight & 4 - 7 day explorer
treks.
Special packages are also available for
school or corporate groups.

trek...........We came away doubting we had ever spent a better day as a
family with a nicer group of people with the added bonus of the spectacular
scenery available from your magnificent farm.
You guys have the art of under promising and over delivering nailed and
yours is a truly top notch adventure that should be experienced by as many
Kiwi's and overseas guests as can be accommodated, expect to see us again
for we have found something truly unique and wonderfully different on our
back door step only 30 minutes off state highway 1, incredible.

Ruahine Adventure Horsetreks are part of a genuine
working NZ high country farm. As well as the horses; there are sheep, dairy
goats and cattle, including the Meersbrooke Highland Cattle Fold. We have a big team of working dogs to
help move our stock.
